Using the Pingdom Importer

It’s now possible within the StatusCake app to import all of your Pingdom uptime testing into our systems, using just your Pingdom API details. A paid Pingdom account will be required to use this tool. The process is quick and easy, we’ll outline the steps below:

First off – head over to the User Details section of the account, here at the top of the page you’ll find a big button labelled “Pingdom Import”. Clicking this will take you to the next step.

On the next page you will be asked to fill out three fields to complete the process. First off we need your Pingdom email address, which will be the one you use to log in to your account. If you have a team account, you can enter it like so: “Team Email:User Email“.

Next up is your Pingdom password, again if you have used the team format above remember to include your password here, rather than the password for the main account. We use this to authenticate and bring in your tests, but this detail will NOT be stored in our systems.

Lastly you will be required to add your “Pingdom App Key” into the final field. If you don’t yet have an app key from Pingdom, it’s possible to generate one of these within the account.

Once those details are filled out, just click the Authenticate button below to begin the process of importing your Pingdom tests to StatusCake.
